Childrens Xmas party - well done to all those who participated and dressed up, much fun was had by all especially doing the games, chase me charlie & musical slicks...full results will be put on website once photos obtained but fancy dress was won by Hannah Dring in group A and Tim McCarthy in Group B. ANNUAL AWARDS

Please click here for the full results for the NRRC summer 2011 accumulator for Dressage and Showjumping. The events were for NRRC members only both Senior and Junior, 2 other awards were given out which are also included on the list.
We held the evening at Kirbymoorside Golf Club on Friday 18th & held a quiz before the awards (winners on list) followed by a pie and pea supper. Many prizes were given out this year due to NRRC receiving prizes from NAF for appearing in the local riding Club magazine for outstanding Club. Unfortunately only 46 members attended, it would have been nice to see more but a fun evening was held by those who did attend.

4th June: NAF Festival of the Horse at Aston-le-Walls, near Northampton
North Ryedale Riding Club senior team members were among the ribbons after taking fifth place in the Senior Novice Challenge. The team comprised Pat Anderson riding Georgina, Paula O’Donnell with Jezz-Ancer, Jen Foster on Primeiro Senhora, and Vicki Seller riding Soloman.Vicki Seller took individual second place in the contest, narrowly missing the first prize spot after a tie on cross country times was decided by the show jumping times. Paula O'Donnell also went on to take sixth place in a hotly contested working hunter competition, riding Jezz-Ancer

24th May 2011 - AGM at Appleton-le-Moors Village Hall.
Approximately 50 members enjoyed an evening listening to our guest speakers (organised by Grace Lane Vets) on the subject of obesity, laminitis and supplements. An enormous buffet kindly prepared by Sheron Monkman was appreciated by all. Committee members were nominated and proposed, no new members came forward and the only change was that Jen Foster will now be membership secretary. Many Thanks to Sharon Taylor who did a very efficient job in the last 2 years.

NORTHALLERTON RESULTS, etc

18 Members went to Northallerton and 3 are going forward to the Championships. 3 teams went to Harrogate Ladies College and came first, second and sixth. 7 teams went to Wetherby and we won the Intermediate and Open Showjumping. The Junior team came fifth. Very well done to Eleanor, Molly, William and Charlotte.

27September 2010 - PLEASURE RIDE, APPLETON LE MOORS

The Pleasure Ride raised £400 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Thanks to all those who helped and supported the event, especially the local landowners who allowed use of their private tracks.

2010 ANNUAL SHOW REPORT AND RESULTS

MOST riders who contested North Ryedale Riding Club’s annual show were lucky enough to return home sporting rosettes and satisfied smiles on Sunday, August 29.The show took place at Hamley Hagg, Appleton-le-Moors, and a good number of entries were seen in most classes despite competitors having to battle against the elements with strong winds on the day.Twelve-year-old Grace Wood, from Kirbymoorside, could not hide her smiles of joy after taking first place in the minimus showjumping on board veteran pony Walter, who is 30.

Enjoying enviable results was Kate Musgrave who took first place in the ridden hunter and first in the working hunter, before going on to clinch the ridden horse and working hunter championships.To add to her catalogue of achievements, Kate was crowned Supreme Show Champion and also clinched the accrued show point’s championship.Reserve Show Champion went the way of Jade Hutchinson-Archer from Pickering, who also won the tack and turnout championship.

Kiera Colgan, from Burythorpe, won the rider-pony combination showjumping class on her new pony, Corrie, which she was riding for the first time on the day. Special thanks must go to the judges and stewards for their kind support in helping to make this show such a great success.

'The J unior Novice Individual Challenge was won by Rachel Lunney riding Tangerine Dream, Rachel was clear S/J and X/C and was only 0.4 sec of the optimium time. Jack Teal and Rosie Howath, the pairs team, were 8th picking up 23 penalties.

Lois Teal won the working hunter pony showing class and was reserve champion in the working hunter pony championship.

We expect Rosie and Jack to be invited to the Championships in Ashton-le-Walls 5-6 June. Ann Lunney has confirmed that Rachel has been invited to Ashton-le-Walls qualifying as an individual.
